Terms of Service

These Terms of Service explain the terms that apply when you purchase coaching, mentoring, group programmes or other paid services from Inner Confidence Coaching. Please read the section relevant to the service you are purchasing before making payment. Inner Confidence Coaching is operated by Louise Valsinger and is based in Scotland, UK. 1) General Terms

When you purchase a service from Inner Confidence Coaching, you are entering into an agreement with Inner Confidence Coaching for the service described at the time of purchase. Details including the nature of the service, price, dates, duration and what is included will be provided before you purchase. You are responsible for providing accurate contact information and for letting me know if your details change. All services are provided in good faith and with reasonable care and skill. However, coaching, mentoring and group programmes involve your own reflection, decisions and actions, and particular outcomes cannot be guaranteed. You remain responsible for any decisions you make and actions you take as a result of participating in a service. Nothing in these Terms of Service affects your statutory consumer rights.

2) 1:1 Coaching and Mentoring

Your Client Agreement

If you purchase a 1:1 coaching or coaching/mentoring package, you will also receive an individual Client Agreement setting out the specific arrangements for our work together.

This includes the number of sessions purchased, the timeframe in which they should be used, arrangements for sessions, rescheduling and cancellations, between-session support and the nature of our work together.

The Client Agreement forms part of the agreement between us. If there is any difference between these general Terms of Service and your Client Agreement regarding the specific coaching service you have purchased, the Client Agreement will apply to those service-specific arrangements.

Payment

The price and payment arrangements for your package will be confirmed before you purchase. Unless otherwise agreed, payment is required before coaching begins.

Cancelling or rescheduling individual sessions

Please give at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an individual session. Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice, or missed without notice, may be treated as used except where doing so would be unreasonable in the circumstances.

Ending a coaching package early

When you purchase a coaching package, you are committing to the package rather than purchasing individual sessions on a pay-as-you-go basis. If you wish to end your package early, please contact me in writing. Any refund due will take into account the coaching already provided and any reasonable costs or losses arising from ending the package early.

If your circumstances change unexpectedly, please contact me as soon as possible. Where appropriate, we may agree to pause the package or provide a credit for remaining sessions.

If Inner Confidence Coaching needs to end your coaching package and is unable to provide services you have paid for, you will receive an appropriate refund for the services that cannot be provided.

3) Group Programmes

These terms apply when you purchase a place on an Inner Confidence Coaching group programme, including Something needs to change. The individual programme page will explain the dates, price, format and what is included.

Please read this information before purchasing.

Payment and your place

Your place on a paid group programme is confirmed once payment has been received.

Completing an enquiry or registration form without making payment does not confirm or reserve your place unless I have expressly agreed otherwise.

Access and participation

Group programmes may include a combination of live online sessions, written guides, activities, recordings, online group access and other resources. The exact content will be explained on the relevant programme page. Where recordings are provided, these are intended to allow you to catch up if you cannot attend a live session. Missing a live session does not normally entitle you to a refund where the programme and relevant materials remain available to you.

You are responsible for having suitable internet access and a device capable of accessing the online elements of the programme.

Private online groups

Some programmes include access to a private online group, such as a private Facebook group. You are welcome to participate as much or as little as feels comfortable. You are not required to share personal information with the group. Please treat anything other participants choose to share with respect and discretion. Information or personal experiences shared by another participant should not be copied, shared or discussed outside the group without their permission.

I may remove someone from a group if their behaviour is abusive, discriminatory, deliberately disruptive or seriously compromises the privacy or safety of other participants.

Programme materials

All programme guides, worksheets, activities, recordings and other resources provided by Inner Confidence Coaching are protected by copyright and are supplied for your own personal use.

You may download and print materials for your own use.

You must not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, publish or share programme materials with others without my written permission. You must also not adapt or use the materials to provide your own coaching, training, workshops, courses or other commercial services.

4) Your right to cancel an online purchase

If you are purchasing as a consumer online or at a distance, you will normally have a legal right to cancel your contract within 14 days of entering into it, without giving a reason, Legislation.gov.uk. To exercise your right to cancel, email louise@innerconfidencecoaching.co.uk and clearly state that you wish to cancel your purchase.

You do not have to use any particular wording to tell me that you wish to cancel.

If you want your service to begin within the 14-day cancellation period

If you ask Inner Confidence Coaching to begin providing a service before your 14-day cancellation period has ended, you may still cancel during that period. However, you may be required to pay a reasonable amount for the proportion of the service that has already been provided at your request, Legislation.gov.uk.

If the service has been fully performed during the cancellation period, your cancellation right can end once the service has been completed where you expressly requested that the service begin during that period and acknowledged that you would lose your cancellation right once it had been fully performed, Legislation.gov.uk.

Where digital content is supplied during the 14-day cancellation period, separate rules apply. If you expressly consent to receiving that digital content immediately and acknowledge that doing so means losing your cancellation right in relation to it, that cancellation right can be lost once supply begins, Legislation.gov.uk. Where this applies, you will be asked for the appropriate consent as part of the purchasing process.

After the 14-day cancellation period

Once your statutory cancellation period has ended, any cancellation or refund will be considered in accordance with the terms applying to the service you purchased. For coaching packages, please also refer to your individual Client Agreement. For fixed-date group programmes, refunds are not normally provided simply because you decide not to participate or are unable to attend, provided the programme remains available as described.

This does not affect any rights you may have where a service has not been provided with reasonable care and skill, has not been provided as described, or where you otherwise have a statutory right to a remedy.

5) Changes or cancellation by Inner Confidence Coaching

Occasionally, circumstances outside my control may mean that I need to change the timing, format or arrangements for a session or programme. Where reasonably possible, I will give you as much notice as I can and provide a suitable alternative.

If Inner Confidence Coaching cancels a service and cannot provide a reasonable alternative, you will receive a refund for the part of the service that has not been provided.

6) Coaching, mentoring and educational content

Inner Confidence Coaching services are designed to support reflection, development and decision-making. They are not counselling, psychotherapy, medical care, financial advice, legal advice or another regulated professional service. Any information, ideas, tools or experiences shared through coaching, mentoring or group programmes are provided for educational and developmental purposes.

You remain responsible for deciding what is appropriate for your own circumstances and for seeking specialist professional advice where necessary.

7) Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the content, frameworks, exercises, worksheets, programme materials, recordings and resources created by Inner Confidence Coaching remain the intellectual property of Inner Confidence Coaching.

Purchasing a service gives you permission to use the materials provided to you for your own personal use. It does not transfer ownership of those materials or give permission for commercial use, redistribution or reproduction.

8) Privacy and data protection

Your personal information will be processed in accordance with applicable UK data protection law, including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

9) Problems or complaints

If you are unhappy with any aspect of a service, please contact me as soon as possible at louise@innerconfidencecoaching.co.uk.

I would always prefer the opportunity to understand what has happened and try to resolve the issue fairly.

10) Changes to these terms

These Terms of Service may occasionally be updated to reflect changes to my services, business practices or legal requirements.

The terms that apply to your purchase will be those in effect when you enter into the contract, together with any specific Client Agreement or programme information applicable to the service you purchased.

11) Governing Law

These Terms of Service and any agreement between you and Inner Confidence Coaching are governed by the laws of Scotland.

Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under applicable consumer law.
